South Korea was a big surprise to me. Starting from Seoul and making my way south to the island of Jeju, I was invited many times to share moments with Korean people who turned out to be incredibly welcoming and kind.
From the intensity of city life, to centuries-old temples, to stunning nature that few people know about... Korea was a blast. And I learned something important there, something I partially knew but for which Koreans have a specific word for it: jeong (정). It describes the deep, unspoken emotional bond that forms between people. I'll let you look it up. It's a beautiful concept.
